Pela Terra In Numbers
We started life as an agricultural investment fund. Our mission was to turn the Golden Visa into a force for good in Portugal, by investing into regenerative agriculture.
While raising €83m across two very successful funds, we realised that investors were being poorly advised about how to complete the Golden Visa application process.
This led us to launch our in-house Concierge Service, initially only for Pela Terra investors. Hugely successful, it evolved into helping clients with every step of their Golden Visa process.
As we pause before launching a third fund, we are now able to offer investors a unique service.
Genuinely independent end-to-end advice on every aspect of the Portuguese Golden Visa, from people who actually run their own funds (but aren't fundraising).
We hope you'll join us on this exciting new chapter.

FAQs
“Residency through Investment” is the name give to government-lead programs in which foreign investors gain access to residency in a new country by investing within a certain set of guidelines. This residency gives them a pathway to obtaining citizenship.
The Portuguese Golden Visa provides the only pathway to a European passport without being required to live in the country or relocate your life.
After investing, you & your family members will receive residency permits. These allow you to live in Portugal if you wish, but only require you to be in Portugal for a minimum of 7 days per year to maintain your residency.
After 5 years of residency, you are eligible for citizenship. This means a Portuguese passport, which gives you the freedom of Europe for the rest of your life.
The investment required into a Portuguese fund is €500,000. There will also be fees applied to the government immigration agency, totaling approximately €20,000. We can provide a detailed breakdown of exactly how this will apply in your case.
In 2026, the government has stated that it aims to issue all investors with their residency card within 6 months of their investment. However it is better to allow one year for this, given historical delays (which are now much improved).
We can also help by connecting you with lawyers who will guide you all the way through the application process.
